To promote Suburra the movie we launched a Casino in Rome. That actually doesn’t exist.
Suburra is the new movie from director Stefano Sollima (ACAB, Gomorra – La Serie) and will become the first Italian series on Netflix. To promote the movie in the weeks before the release, we ‘created’ Waterfront: the Casino in Rome that causes murders and politic plots. So, we produced the render of Waterfront and we made it viral by a truck and some hostesses that gave Waterfront’s promotional flyers in many locations in Rome. The fake news was launched on many local (RomaToday, OstiaTV, etc.) and national websites (Huffington Post) and produced thousands of organic comments on users’ social media before the ‘reveal’ phase.
